THERAPY SERVICES

Individual Therapy

Therapy with Pathfinder Counseling is a highly collaborative process where we work together to explore your emotions, understand what’s going on beneath the surface, and find meaningful ways to support you while dealing with your stressors. In our sessions, we’ll create space to process how you’re feeling, while also learning and practicing new coping skills tailored to your needs.

Whether you're navigating anxiety, life transitions, or just need support, individual therapy offers a safe and supportive environment to grow and heal. Sessions are available virtually or in person at our San Antonio office. Pathfinder Counseling is able to accommodate individual therapy for all ages (children, teens, and adults).

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT)

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is a highly effective, evidence-based treatment for young children (typically ages 2–7) with emotional and behavioral challenges. PCIT strengthens the parent-child relationship through live coaching sessions, helping caregivers learn positive interaction skills and effective discipline strategies. By improving communication, reducing disruptive behaviors, and increasing positive behaviors, PCIT supports families in building a more connected and peaceful home environment.

Newly Diagnosed?
Let's Find Your Path!

Just received a diagnosis and not sure what comes next? Whether you or your child have been newly diagnosed as neurodivergent, Pathfinder Counseling is here to help you make sense of it all. These three-session integration packages offer a supportive, strengths-based space to process the diagnosis, understand what it means for everyday life, and explore strategies that align with your or your child’s unique brain style. We can help clarify confusing diagnostic reports, answer your questions in accessible language, and guide you toward helpful resources and supports in your community. Sessions can be extended beyond the initial three if additional support is needed. Together, we’ll focus on building confidence, connection, and practical tools for thriving.

Therapy Groups

Join our team at Pathfinder Counseling in our new parent group that brings together psychoeducation and peer support for families raising neurodivergent children.

Learn practical techniques for supporting your child—such as behavior strategies, communication skills, and coping tools—while also connecting with other parents who understand the journey. Together, members can share experiences, explore concerns, and exchange meaningful tips for navigating daily life, while connecting with people who get it.
